Free at Last!

I just dropped Juliana off for her first day of pre-school "camp" at the community center, and seeing that Ava is taking a little catnap I am now relaxing in the backyard basking in the wonderful sunshine. Yahoo for me! The pre-school for three year olds is only 2 hours long but I'll take what I can get. I thought I'd take the opportunity to get out a list of things that I have thought/done/complained about in the past week or so.

1. Harry Potter rocks. I'm so excited after seeing The Prisoner of Azkaban now that I'm going to try to read all five of the books. Let's hope I can finish them before Juliana goes to college.

2. SIX FEET UNDER STARTS NEXT WEEK!!!! I'm so excited to delve back into the turmoils of the Fisher Family. God bless HBO.

3. The Lakers totally bite. I'm watching the NBA finals this year firmly rooting for Detroit in hopes of seeing a lone tear trickle down Kobe Bryant's face upon losing big time.

4. Politics? Blah. Without going into any detail I'm feeling completely hopeless about anything involving our government right now. I'm a complete news junkie and everything I've been reading lately has been making me angry/sad/disgusted/defeated/all of the above.

5. Why should I care about how actress Kate Hudson lost 60 pounds after having her baby in January?? No doubt just about anyone could do the same if they had the luxury of a nutritionist, personal chef. personal trainers and oh yes, don't forget the NANNIES that allow them to work out for hours a day! I lost 45 pounds of baby weight in the same amount of time with none of that stuff. Where's my medal?

6. In addition to being a news and tv addict I am also a sports fiend anxiously looking forward to the Olympics this summer. I love the summer games much more than the winter variety and I'm hyped about getting Juliana into watching it with me this year. Yesterday we watched the U.S. Gymnastics championships and she was really into watching the routines (plus she likes how a lot of the girls wear sparkles in their hair. Go figure.)

7. I have officially traveled back in time to the late 1990's upon receivng a stack of TaeBo videos from my neighbor. I needed something new to work out to and it's so incredibly cheesy but at least I'm doing something to keep in shape so lay off!!

8. Culver's is so, so very tasty. Enough said.

9. I love my backyard and I intend to spend many an afternoon and/or evening out here enjoying good food, drinks and the wonderful fresh air.

Enough now! I have another hour and fifteen minutes before I have to pick up my little schoolgirl.
