Ask And Ye Shall Receive

SUN! I should pout to the internet more often because right after I made my mopey post the sun came out from behind the clouds for the entire day yesterday. Ava and I spent a couple of hours in the backyard (me putting together patio furniture and her digging up piles of dirt) and it was glorious. It looks like today might be shaping up the same way too. Wooo! Plus, my laptop is fixed so I can go pick it up today. Good times.

My eating habits still kind of suck. I was lucky and only gained a half a pound back during Girl Scout Cookie Week and now after week three I lost another pound so I'm down a total of 3 1/2. But overall I don't really feel like I'm eating that healthy in general (just eating less) so I sort of feel like it's undeserving. Plus, although I do my pilates and weights every night I still don't do any cardio because I simply don't have the time and that bothers me. I love how it makes me feel to work out but with taking care of Ava all day I can't fit it in. When Juliana was a baby I used to take aerobics and kickboxing at the Bartlett community center because they had a kids playroom there. I should find a place like that around here.

Blah blah blah.

Jason and I want to make a family band called the Von Gessner Family Singers. We'll be sort of like the Sound of Music but without the Nazis. And with cuter outfits. So far our set list includes "The Rainbow Connection" and "I'd Like to Visit the Moon." We kind of have to work on Juliana's attention span though. We're also thinking about getting Ava a tambourine since she loves to clap along when we sing.

We played poker on Saturday night with Billy and Heather and I totally won. For the first time ever. Now if I could only beat this girl.

I also played Jason's bass guitar this weekend. Rockin'.

  5. Michelle- Sorry! I posted it because it had the "winner" tag on it. It's actually from your Mom's Flickr account!
Sarah- Oh, I was a wife beater in Illinois too. It's my dirty little secret.
