What Was Said vs. What Was Really Happening

I know this stuff is already all over the news and it's practically inescapable but I found this one article to be particularly disturbing.

Why is it so hard for people to own up and tell the truth?

  1. I posted the same link earlier. It's unbelievable, and this is coming from someone who works their a$$ off 12 hours every night for an agency that hasn't stepped up to the plate, in any shape or form. Luckily, I'm just a contractor, so I have no employement affiliation with them, but it's disgusting to hear about. Our department has been doing an incredible job, but when you hear this, you kind of wonder what it's all for....

  2. Brandi- I totally forgot that you work for FEMA. (Or that you're at least affiliated with them?) I saw that you posted the same article on site too. It's interesting that you feel the same way about their response. I realize that it is the largest natural disaster this country has experienced but still, it absolutely baffles me. Hurricanes don't exactly form out of thin air with no warning.
