Don't Even Start About Mother's Day Just Being Corporate Hallmark Holiday Because I Have To Take What I Can Get And I May Have To Smack You

Mother's Day is on Sunday! Sooooo.... what's on the agenda?

1. Sleep, glorious sleep.
2. A big ol' breakfast.
3. The squeaky brakes on my car will be "magically" fixed. Don't you just love magic?
4. An uninterrupted chunk of time where I lounge around and read my David Sedaris book. (Preferably outdoors but it looks like Mother Nature is not pro-Milwaukee Moms this year. Stupid nature.)
5. A little gnome will come and finish painting parts in the house that along the ceiling where it is too high for me to reach. (Ok, a very tall gnome. And cute.)
6. Fruity martinis during the Survivor finale.

I would also like to add that there will be no dish washing, laundry folding or poop scooping done by me. (Of course, that probably just means that I will take care of all that stuff the night before, but STILL. None of that on Sunday!)

  3. Happy Mother's Day!!!
How do you like that 'new' Sedaris book? I absolutely LOVE Powell's. Have you been there before? That was my favorite place in Portland, my boyfriend at the time had to drag me out of there. It's so wonderful!
    Enjoy your fruity martinis!
