Lunch With Soon-To-Be First Graders
"Hey, did you know that my mom is thirty-three?"
"Oh yeah? Well...Juliana's mom is older than that, right? Juliana's Mom! How old are you?"
"I'm twenty-eight."
"See! I told you she was older!"
"Nuh-uh! Thirty comes after twenty so my mom is totally a lot older than that!"
"I'm sure she's glad you're defending her honor."
